How to check ISO certification

What is ISO certification?

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) develops and publishes industry standards that address customer satisfaction due to inconsistencies in production quality. Since their inception, ISO standards have integrated a number of industries, including information technology. Developments by a body are often used by governments and other organizations as the basis for their compliance.

Although voluntary, ISO based document management systems provide first-time buyers and readers the confidence in organizations and operations within organizations that are effectively managing. For ISO certification, the organization must use a third-party study, which provides independent opinion on whether the company meets the requirements. Once approved, organizations can integrate ISO certification into their web or marketing materials.  ISO covers a wide range of standards, "ISO 9001 certification" means that the company is only certified in that regard, not another.

Who issued certification?

Both accreditation and certification are essential factors for ISO and the quality management system. Organizations usually confuse the two, resulting in a lack of understanding of the processes required for each. Basically, accreditation and certification are similar, but they differ in whoever does the job. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) creates thousands of standards every year, covering a variety of disciplines and topics. It produces a series of standards called management system standards to guide organizations in offering safe, durable, environmentally friendly and quality products and services. Well known standards include ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security). We also have ISO 22301 (business continuity) and ISO 14001 (environmental). ISO 45001 (health and safety) will be aiding for the process. There are cases where organizations are required to implement these standards. This is where the confusion between accreditation and certification comes into play.

Role of accreditation body in certification

Generally, the accreditation and certification are recognized around the world. The accredited certification body Must follow ISO 17011 compliance, which determines the acceptance process. The ISO certification is an independent third party certification.

All certification standards adhere to the principles of quality management systems, including those found in the ISO 9001 QMS standard.

Simplified, having an ISO certification means that an organization has met the requirements in a particular quality management system. For example, ISO 9001, QMS. Therefore, ISO certified certification occurs when an organization has met the ISO standard, followed by a certification body certification process.

An organization that strived to comply with standards and get certified can reap the following benefits:

·        Easily prove compliance to clients and interested parties.

·        Being independently and globally recognized for its efforts, products, and services.

·        Boost assurance to customers.

·        Better internal management and processes.

·        Increased productivity, efficiency, and profit.

·        Guaranteed customer acquisition and retention

The certification process is as follows: The standard is granted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is awarded by the organization. The organization employs a certification body to test their system and provide accredited certification that the system meets the usual requirements. To allow them to do so, the certification body must be an accredited national accrediting body that oversees their work. At the same time, the national accreditation body .

Therefore, each certificate must contain the registration / certificate number, the name of the certification body and the name of the accrediting body.
